The Children at the Crossroads Foundation (“CATC”) knows that users of its website (the “Site”) care about the personal information they provide to us. This privacy policy, which is part of our overall Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”), is designed to provide you with information about how we collect, store and use personally identifiable information obtained through the Site. We refer to this information as “personal information.” CATC reserves the right to revise this privacy policy from time to time by updating this webpage, and by using the Site, you are agreeing to the terms of the then-current privacy policy.
How Information is Collected
When you participate in any interactive CATC social networks contained on the Site, or wish to utilize certain website services offered by us, we will ask you for information, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, certain demographic information and (if needed) credit card information. CATC needs certain information in order to register you as a unique user and let you access personalized services. However, other requested information is optional and can be given at your discretion.
You can also submit information about other people pursuant to certain website services offered by us. For example, you might submit a person’s name and email address to send them a link to a particular CATC event. The types of personal information that may be collected about other people at these pages include: recipient’s name, address, email address, and telephone number. Personal information collected through the Site may be used by CATC to communicate with you, register you as a user, allow donation payments, event registrations, enable you to participate in special promotions and interactive social networks and to navigate the Site without having to re-enter information, administer the Site, customize your experience on the Site, administer contests comply with applicable law, and as otherwise provided in this privacy policy. CATC may occasionally make personal information available to select other organizations, including but not limited to, affiliated organizations, agents working on our behalf, companies or organizations with whom we have a contractual or sponsor relationship, or in connection with an asset transfer. Certain of our programs, such as CATC interactive social networks, use personal information to send updates and notices to registered users via email. To the extent possible, third-party privacy policies and terms and conditions of use will be displayed on CATC webpages utilizing these third-party platforms, or in the alternative, a link to the platform provider’s website will be displayed. We may disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Terms or to protect the safety, property or other rights of our users or the public.
